A day of outdoor fun for everyone
Come out and take part in all the day's activities - Saddle up for the metric century ride, lace up your shoes for the 5K run, and watch America's best criterium racers battle it out for the right to be called the USA CRITS SPEEDWEEK CHAMPION. The day will also include: an art festival, kiddies' rodeo, demonstrations, and a friendly cycling competition between the Sandy Springs Police and Fire departments.
New this year is the addition of the 5K challenge. You may choose to run and ride and make the event a mini duathlon. The Elite runners will use this 5K as a qualifier for the afternoon's Mayor's Mile, which is a full out sprint on the CRIT course for prize money.
Sandy Springs Challenge is a non-profit organization that was developed to promote sporting events in the City of Sandy Springs. The Sandy Springs Cycling Challenge benefit the Sandy Springs Police and Fire Departments.
